So Much Has Changed Since I Last Blogged
It feels nice to be back in the blogging world again! I had forgotten how to do it!
Wow! So much has changed for us since my last entry! Where do I begin . . . Let me start with saying that all of our "life changes" over the past three months were carefully considered and prayed about before they started occurring. Here were the issues before us - a new car (one with low gas mileage and one within our budget), moving either to smaller towns out of state, or just somewhere else in the metroplex, and a baby. Obviously, these are not small potatoes, so we were carefully planning, in the Lord's time, when and how these might take place!
Starting in early December, we decided to just see what was on the lots of car dealerships. Believe me, I have worked with Justin Poe before on buying cars and know that spending a large amount of money (really even small amounts of money) can take centuries (at least in my world) to happen. So, I was not expecting anything to happen in the next year. However, much to my surprise, we found an SUV (one not with low gas mileage) on the second time we "looked". This was truly amazing to me. This event was quite counter to true Justin Poe fashion. However, I am not complaining!!! I like my new car!
We had a wonderful Christmas vacation, skiing in Colorado and spending time with family! We came home the day before New Year's Eve. And . . . that morning we found out Lucy Anne was going to have a new baby sister or brother. We have joked many times that it was buying the SUV that set this in motion!
Finally, our last item that had not been taken care of, was moving. We decided to put our house up for sale "just to see what happens" on January 12th. Our realtor told us the houses in our neighborhood were selling an avg. of 90 days. We expected that long for sure. Our house sold in TWO WEEKS!!!! Shocking! We made some quick provisions and moved out of state two weeks later!
I firmly believe all of this was God's timing! We couldn't have planned things this quick if we thought the world was ending tomorrow. Most of you know, Justin and I are NOT quick to do anything!!!!! God has totally taken care of every detail!
We miss our friends and the things we were used to doing back in Texas. There are so many conveniences there that we don't have here. But, we have family now, literally in the next room, and down I35, and many familiar and new friends to surround us. Have I mentioned the pace here is much more to our beat of the drum . . . SLOW! Just the way we like it! I even have time to BLOG!

Tiff,
Can you believe how our small group has spread out?! I hope y'all are enjoying OK. I really do love and appreciate the slower-paced world. It is worth giving up a few conveniences. We are so excited about your baby news! Congratulations!Keep up the blogging. I enjoy keeping up with the Poes. Love you!
Glad you are back to blogging -- I have missed the updates on what is going on with the Poes.
We hope we can see you while we are in Oklahoma over Easter weekend.
We miss you guys!
YEA! I am so glad that you are back to blogging :) We all miss you so much- but are so happy for your family. Lauren really misses Lucy. I asked her the other day where Lucy lived now, and she said "Hokey Okey" instead of Oklahoma :) Then she says "Lucy so happy- she with her granma!" We love you guys!
YEA! I was beginning to wonder if you would blog again. I sure enjoyed our chat the other night and wish we could more often. Candice... I am in disbelief as well as to how spread out we all are now. I still have such wonderful memories of that first couple of years of marriage. Trent and I were sharing some of them in a class we are doing Wed. nights right now, entitled "Passages of Marriage." Its a neat book btw. Anyhoo... glad to be able to read about yoru life again. Love and miss you guys. Looking forward to seeing you this summer :)
So good to hear from you and I am so glad you all are so happy. We sure miss you! Are you going to be at Mia's shower? Hope to see you soon.
