O-State Homecoming

How 'bout those Pokes!!!! We travelled to good 'ol Stillwater this past weekend for our homecoming. We had a wonderful time getting together with our friends and family. The weather was nice enough to spend a lot of time at Walkaround (looking at all of the Greek house's "house decks" where they basically make big floats in front of their houses). . . . a little history . . . that is how Justin and I met, our Freshmen homecoming, we were Pomping Partners for our house's homecoming house deck . . . Anyway, Saturday was a relaxing day. For some reason, we couldn't carry out plans no matter how hard we tried. We were trying to catch back up with all of our friends, but everyone's schedules never played out, so we decided to just catch up with them later. Justin and I had decided we didn't want to waste our money on a "blow out" game . . . Texas stomping us . . . whose idea was it anyway for us to host Texas (#2 ranked when we're the bottom (behind Baylor even) of the Big 12 for homecoming. . . So, we finally found a place to watch the game at another friend's house. What a totally unexpected first half!!!! If only football games were two quarters long, we would have beat those Longhorns. I heard it said on Sunday that we tied . . . we won the first half, they won the second! But, not surprizing, OSU is hardly ever a second-half team! Coach Gundy needs to run those boys hard!!!! We need some conditioning for the long haul. Okay, enough about my expertise in coaching football. I must say, however, the game re-established my hope in Cowboy football and my confidence in Gundy (by the way, he's from my home-town so I owe a little loyalty to him)! Sunday was a good day at church, pot-luck lunch and everything. After Lucy Anne's nap, she and Papa played in the leaves he piled for her.

Go Pokes! Let's get 'em next game!!!!

Maybe one day, we will have trees big enough to drop enough leaves that we will have to rake? Until then...we will have to travel to Oklahoma too for this fun activity!

Glad that you had a good weekend at Homecoming. Going back to College for the weekend is always so much fun...not that I would go back, but it always stirs up fun happy memories for me. It did end up being a good game too -- although the first half about gave Kevin heart failure.

Tiff,
I have been catching up on the blogging world, since I haven't read everyone's posts this week. I love getting to see sweet Lucy in all of her fun! Justin's camping trip made me smile...what a sweet time for the two of them. And, leaf jumping is always the cutest picture!!!

Good to catch up with you, especially since I never seem to get that time when we're all at church!!
