OSU Homecoming 2006

There is no greater Homecoming at any university than at Oklahoma State! Our homecomings are known nationwide. So, you can imagine the excitement around town and festivities week-long during the wonderful tradition here in Stillwater. We don't have many traditions but this is the greatest! I was so happy to be living here again to experience it and for Lucy Anne to experience it as well. Of course, homecoming is special to me because this is how Justin and I met our Freshmen year. Our houses (sorority and fraternity) were paired up and then within our pledge classes we were paired up as "pomping partners" and Justin and I were put together. And, thus, began our friendship and eventually lifetime pomping partners! Ha Ha

The fraternities and sororities pair up to build big house decks (they look like floats sort of) in front of their houses. Then, at half time of the game the winner is announced. Every year, on Friday, tons of people fill the streets for "Walk-Around" to look at all of the house decks. This year we went with my mom and dad and Landon and Sheree. It was great to share in this tradition with Landon and Sheree who have never been (they're OU people). It is so much fun to run into people you haven't seen in years . . . I ran into a highschool friend who is now a plastic surgeon. Amazing! I always knew he would do something like that.

I love OSU homecoming and look forward to next year! Go Kappas!

Good to see an update. Lucy Anne is beautiful.

Looks like you haven't skipped a beat since having #2! I would love to see more pictures of Ella and her growth.
