Here we go . . .

Poor, pitiful Ella! Ella has a horrible cold. She can't breathe out of her nose and every time she coughs she gags on what comes up. I didn't really think it was necessary to take her to the doctor since she didn't have a fever and still seemed to be eating okay, but her daddy has been really concerned. He called the nurse twice and actually made the doctor's appointment for her. I ran through the home remedies to our wonderful doctor, for instance, we're using saline drops, propped her bed, suctioning her nose, etc . . . thinking she will say keep doing it, how much is your copay. However, she found that Ella has a double ear infection! Justin asked if we could go ahead and get her tubes now once I told him since we went through this with Lucy Anne. Ella is very similar to her sister in many way including her ears. But, she is different regarding what goes in her mouth. Lucy Anne didn't ever flinch at a bottle, pacifier, or medicine. Ella has issues with each of those things. . . therefore, getting the amoxicillian down her is quite a chore. Whereas, her sister (apparently working on an addiction) made up a sore throat so she she could have some Tylenol the other day. Seriously! I can't wait to see how different and how similar Ella really is to her older sibling.

Poor lil Ella! I hate that. I was the same way with Ty, would put off going thinking it was nothing and would just run its course. He never had the classic symptoms but had many an ear infection after I would finally take him, only because he would have a runny nose that turned green for over a week! Maybe she won't get as many and not need tubes! Liv has had four I think in her first year of life. Nothing like Ty's nine! My heart is going out to you. I was so glad to see an updated post! We are in Arlington for Thanksgiving. I hope you guys have a good holiday with family despite Ella being ill! Miss you!!!!

Oh no! That is so sad and I can totally relate. I used to take Seth in for well baby checks and he wouldn't be able to get his immunizations because he had such awful ear infections!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We miss you.
